The Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade has been a long-standing tradition dating back more than a century. In fact, the 2023 holiday season will mark the 115th year for the event.
Back in the early days, however, the only participants were a dozen or so boats with meager decorations. That certainly has changed, and the scope of the display has grown along with the number of spectators.
Not only are there hundreds of boats with beautiful lights and displays, but the homes along the shore will also have lights, special effects, and more all on the property, including the dock.
The Event: Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade
So, if you want to enjoy the Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade, you need to schedule a time between the third Wednesday and third Sunday of December. The parade is put on for five whole nights so that anyone can enjoy it.
You also have different options for enjoying the event. Of course, you could try to watch from the shore, but you certainly won’t be able to see everything.
