Whale Watching / Have you joined us to see one of these amazing Arctic travelers? Every winter Pacific gray whales embark on a 5,000 mile journey south to the Lagoons of Baja. They leave their high latitude foraging areas in the Chukchi and Bering sea prior to a massive ice sheet covering the cold, arctic waters. On their way they will pass by the beautiful coastlines of British Columbia and the Western United States where they will eventually end up right here in the waters of Newport Beach, California. Only 500 or so miles to go from here until they reach the refuge of the lagoons in Baja. •••••••••#roamtheoceans #oceanlife #oceanlovers #whales #whalewatching #dronestagram #ourplanetdaily #discoverocean #earthfocus #depthsofearth #fromwhereidrone #dronenature #droneheroes #dronepals
