They leave their high latitude foraging areas in the Chukchi and Bering sea prior to a massive ice sheet covering the cold, arctic waters. On their way they will pass by the beautiful coastlines of British Columbia and the Western United States where they will eventually end up right here in the waters of Newport Beach, California.
